We have never had Haitian food before. I am so glad we tasted it before we left the parking lot so we could buy some more (on the spot). This food is delicious and the people are very, very nice! Great prices and large portions. Excellent food!

Had a great time at Mamaislandfood. Satisfying, well-flavored food & fixes. Griot reminded us how good pork can be. Portions you can take home for later. Close to West Palm Beach airport. Mama does the cooking herself and is warm and wise. We 🩷 Mama Island and will be back again. 🌊🌴 Gracias Mama & D!

Mama Island Food is a must-stop every time we travel from Georgia to Florida! The food is consistently delicious, fresh, and full of authentic Haitian flavor. This visit we had the fried snapper, fried turkey wing, Haitian rice and peas, and sweet plantains—everything was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. The fried snapper was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the turkey wing was packed with flavor. The rice and peas were amazing, and the plantains were the perfect complement to the meal. The portions are generous, and the service is always warm and welcoming. If you're in West Palm Beach and craving authentic Haitian food, do yourself a favor and check out Mama Island Food on N. Military Trail. We keep coming back for a reason—highly recommended!

I recently visited Mamaislandfood and I’m already planning my next trip back! I ordered the diri djon djon with fried turkey, and my husband had the black rice and greo. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and tasted like authentic Haitian home cooking. The flavors were rich, well-seasoned, and truly on point. What stood out even more was the portion size. You definitely get a generous amount of food for the price, which is something I really appreciate, especially in today’s economy. It felt like great value without sacrificing quality. On top of that, the lady who serves is incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Overall, I love this place and highly recommend it to anyone looking for flavorful, authentic Haitian food!

This food truck is located in a gas station parking lot. Don’t let the looks fool you. This is the best Haitian food in West Palm beach. I have tried their griot and Lalo. Both are seasoned so well. Oh and the pikliz was s addiction. I wish they sold it by the jar. The only negative is that the portion size of meat is very small for the price.
